Chiropractic Biophysics is the only technique to have published clinical trials of SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN structural based spinal alignment correction without surgery.
This advanced form of chiropractic goes well beyond the relief of pain by focusing on the restoration and rehabilitation of the spine. The ultimate goal is to return the spine to its normal structural alignment, which in turn will also result in reduced muscular tension, improved muscular balance, inhibition of early degenerative joint disease, and a noticeable improvement in optimal nervous system function and overall performance.
Chiropractic Biophysics technique is supported by more research in peer-reviewed scientific (medical) journals than any other chiropractic technique in the world. Noted Journals included but not limited to Spine, Journal of Spinal Disorders, and Clinical Bio mechanics.
Chiropractic BioPhysics, or CBP, is, in short, a higher level of chiropractic. It is a more knowledgeable, comprehensive, systematic, scientific approach to chiropractic, that provides predictable results for our patients. Support for this claim includes a considerable amount of data from research, the experience of numerous flourishing CBP® practitioners, and the longevity of the approach. CBP® combines standard chiropractic joint adjustments with mirror image® (opposite position) postural adjustments, mirror image® spinal/postural exercise, and mirror-image® traction to provide more permanent relief and improved health for patients through spine and postural correction.
We have compiled a comprehensive order of tests and examination procedures to ensure a very thorough and complete examination. Full spine structural x-rays, a computer generated digital structure analysis, uncorrected bilateral weight distribution, orthopedic, and neurological tests will be performed on all patients before care recommendations can be made. Your examination will be followed by a complete analysis of all testing procedures, a written report, copies of all x-rays, a digital structure analysis printout, and a nerve function chart with areas of concern highlighted.
Pain Relief Care/Patch Care
Most people come to see us because they are in pain and want it to stop. If this is you, then we begin with a treatment protocol to get you out of pain. Even if you aren’t in pain and want to improve general health and performance, you could benefit from this phase of care. Despite the name, we are not only addressing the pain but also reducing inflammation in the joints of your spine and improving range of motion and flexibility. This prepares your body for the next phase of care.
Structural Corrective Care is provided using the Chiropractic Biophysics protocol of care if necessary based on the comprehensive analysis from the x-rays and digital structure exam. Individualized Mirror Image Adjustments, Remodeling Traction, and Corrective Structural Exercises will be needed to attain correction in the shortest possible time. *Above is an example of how we are able to make these changes within your posture and structural alignment. If we find that you have a misalignment (in this case her head is shifted to the right), we would recommend specific exercises that strengthen the muscles opposing that posture and strengthening those that will correct your posture. We also perform mirror image adjustments that retrain the nervous system to recognize the more normal posture by putting you in the opposite posture from which we gathered from data in the initial analysis. Lastly, we use remodeling traction to correct the shape of the ligaments that are holding you in the abnormal posture. This process is much like what braces do for your teeth, although it doesn’t take near as long because we are using the exercises and adjustments to compliment. Without utilizing all three of these rehab protocols in conjunction it is very difficult to get optimal correction.
Wellness and Maintenance Care Programs are typically provided after you complete Corrective Care or Patch Care. Once your structural correction is achieved you will need to maintain the correction in order to prevent any regression. Think of it as having orthodontic braces on your teeth. After the alignment of your teeth is corrected you need to wear a retainer to maintain the correction. Maintenance care is a “retainer” for your body.
