common questions

  • What takes place on the first visit?

Paper work: Every clinic has it and unfortunately we're no different.  Our PATIENT INTAKE FORM designed to ask the information we absolutely need.  To save time in the office please feel free to down load a copy of the intake form now, print it off, and bring it with you already completed.  Click here to download the Corrective Chiropractic Intake Form in PDF format.

Consultation: You and the doctor will have time to sit down privately and discuss any health concerns you may have.  During the consultation you will begin to understand the difference between RELIEF care (temporary relief) and CORRECTIVE care (permanent correction), how to read an x-ray, what science has determined the normal structure to be, and the dangerous consequences of not correcting abnormal structural misalignments.

Examination and X-rays:  This will consist of numerous tests and provide very important information regarding the physical health of your body.  X-rays will most likely be taken X-rays will take the guess work out of locating any structural problems you may have. The x-rays give it to you black and white, your structure is either normal or it's not.  It's that simple.

  • What takes place on the second visit?

It is during your second visit that you will find out if you qualify for Corrective Care.  If your Structural Alignment is within normal limits and/or joint fusions have occurred you would NOT qualify for Structural Corrective Care.

The doctor will sit down with you to go over your examination findings, show and explain each of your x-rays, and make care recommendations.  You will leave with a copy of your examination report, a copy of all your x-rays, a computer print-out of your Digital Structure Analysis, and a Nerve Function Chart with the positive areas highlighted.

If you qualify for corrective care your first corrective treatment will now be performed and you will be instructed on how to use your at home products.

  • What are following visits like?

After the first two visits are out of the way the maximum amount of time you will ever spend in the office is 30 minutes.  Corrective Adjustments and Corrective Remodeling Traction will be performed on each visit until your structure has been corrected

  • How much does it cost?

When we did research  to determine what other chiropractors in the Austin Area were charging and put our prices right in the middle.  We charge anywhere from $50 to $70 per visit.

  • Do you take my insurance?

We are a Provider, meaning we work with all health insurances, but the only way to determine what your insurance will pay is to call them.  This is typically most easily done in our office because many times insurance companies will need our Provider Number and/or Tax ID number before any benefit information can be given for our facility.  Insurance companies will typically contribute to your care but they rarely pay for it entirely.

  • Do treatments hurt?

No.  All treatments are performed to the patient tolerance.  Some patients can "take" more than others and that's fine.  We recognize that we are all individuals and therefore have individual needs.

For those of you that have been to other chiropractors in the past and experienced the basic chiropractic treatments of "cracking" and "popping" of the joints (Relief Care) – rest assured that is not what we do here.  However, we do have patients who have been to other chiropractors in the past and enjoy those types of treatments.  "For those people we do perform that type of care along with their Corrective Care, but the "cracking" is not necessary to achieve Structural Correction.
