Four Christmases

Have you seen the movie Four Christmases? Well that is our life. Well…maybe not a family of “cougars” or wanna-be wrestlers, but we do have four sets of parents to visit during the holidays.
I have always tried to be fair and work it out where everyone gets their special time. It used to work out ok, because it would just be Jarrod and I travelling across the great state of Texas. I actually looked forward to riding in the car together to have those meaningless conversations that would not have taken place without those hours of time alone. But now with Braelyn, 2, and Brant, 7 months, it is no longer fun.
I realized after putting so much effort into making sure we made it to each families gathering we put little or no effort into making our own family Christmas memories and 
moments. We are in a transition phase. We need to start having Christmas at our house. Not every Christmas, but I want our kids to have memories of Santa coming to their house.
I am sure some of you find yourself or FOUND yourself in this situation, so if you have suggestions or have found the magical solution I would love to hear it!!
